Self drive itinerary on autumn

The travel date is from 21-Oct to 30-Oct.
The objectives are to view autumn leaves, small beautiful town and must try local food & fruits. Help to spot any places should visit and food to try:
Please help on below itinerary:
21-23oct - kawaguchiko (drive around hakone and up to 5th station) ~~ advisable to drive up 5th stn on Saturday?
23-25oct - matsumoto (visit kamikochi, daio wasabi farm, apple farm, shin hotaka ropeway)
26-oct @ nagano - drive to kusatsu on direction to obuse to yamanouchi (visit snow monkey)
27-oct - kusatsu - drive to mt tanigawa ropeway.
28-oct - minakami (any place can suggest for overnight)
29-oct - nikko to utsunomiya
30-oct - around nikko before heading to tokyo

Not sure what fruits are in season during autumn...
But your plan seems well. Balance of nature.
I would include Takayama/Nagano though. Some mountain scenery never hurt anyone.
