Can Suica be used in Shikoku, for example, for Kotoden, etc.?

Well, it can be used on a small portion of the Yosan line of JR Shikoku (between Tadotsu and Takamatsu), but that's about it. In particular, not on Kotoden, which has its own card.

Many of stations in Shikoku don't even have ticket gates that don't even accept train tickets and are instead manned by a station attendant or depending on the station the train driver checks the tickets as passengers exit.
I don't know how viable Suica would be in Shikoku. I would make plans to buy tickets from the ticket machines.
