Question on Narai and Hida-Furukawa stations 2016/9/9 11:02
Hi,

I will be visiting Narai from Matsumoto and Hida-Furukawa from Takayama.

Is it true that you can only board and exit from the 1st train carriage door in Narai? I read it somewhere on Tripadvisor.

What about Hida-Furukawa? Is it the same?

Thank you!

Almost all the local train of the JR Takayama Line have only a few cars.
You may have to get on and off at the designated cars by opening door by yourself.
In case of the one man operated train, it's definitely true to do so.

Because Narai is an unmanned station, the fare is collected by the train conductor/driver, therefore you have to exit from the front car.
