Hi all!
Can anyone suggest side trips from Kawaguchiko area? We are staying at Hakone for 2 nights, Kawaguchiko for 2 nights. And still have 3-4 days to spend around the area before returning to Tokyo.
We have 2 children (5 & 7 yrs), but we don't need to go for super kid friendly activities.
Thks!!

Oshino (google Oshino hakkai) – nearby to Lake Yamanakako (bus or car from Kawaguchiko – no train) – a quaint area with spring.
Fujiyoshida (google Fuji Highland) – an amusement park with a kiddie ride area as well as adult rides.
Kawaguchiko Kimono museum (google itchiku kubota bijutsu)

also...
Kawaguchiko organ museum (google Kawaguchiko Music Forest) – Antique player, etc., organs from around the world.
Fuji-san itself – take a bus to the 5th station, above the tree line. Great views and experience.
Of course any hotel lobby will have a variety of pamphlets.
