Activation date for JR west pass

Hi,

I read that when exchanging the voucher of the JR pass the activation date can be set up to one month ahead.

Is it also the case with the local passes ? in this case the JR west pass.
For instance: If I exchange the voucher when arriving at the airport but only want the activation date to be a few days after.

Yes , you can nominate your start travelling date in advance.

So it's working like the global JR pass
