Good view points between Tokyo-Iiyama

Hey guys,
Will be travelling by car from Tokyo, Narita to Madaraokogen in Iiyama in February.
If anyone has made a similar trip before, I was wondering if there are any good viewing spots along the way for photos. I tried my best with google maps street view, but it is a lot of road so I can only check so much.
I don't mind making small detours if it doesn't affect my drive by more than an hour :)
I know I'm asking a questing that only a few can answer, but any suggestions would be helpful and taking into consideration.
