14 days jrpass 2016/12/23 18:58
Hello!
Our travel to Japan will be 14 days. I am thinking of buying 14 days pass. We plan to go to Kyoto, and then to Osaka and Nara. And to Hakone. Is it possible to use only jrpass in above mentioned cities? Are there jr buses?
Thanks)

Dear, it's like this.

Start from your entry and exit airport/s.

Detail your travel/itinerary on your own by reviewing the places of interest here in Japan Guide and see how to get there.

Check Hyperdia or Jorudan in all your travels.

Compare the prices of your travels and see if you have to combine train and highway bus against the 14-day JR Pass.

Forumers here are in no way will say that it's good right away without you doing the research first or putting details of your travel.

You give very little info, as said.

Going from Tokyo to Kyoto/Osaka and back on a 14 day pass would be a horrible waste of money. Even on a 7 day pass you still don't break even.

Taking an additional side trip to Hiroshima though would make a 14 day pass pay off.
There is a new nifty calculator you can try to check your plans:

For Hakone, the Pass can only take you part way there. Look into getting a Hakone Free Pass.
