Dropping car outside rental agency?

Hello,
I am on planning stage for a three day road trip in Shikoku. I will pick the car up at 8 and return at 8 on day four. However, as I will be coming to Matsuyama city, and finding parking when retuning at late evening might not be so easy.
Do you know if it is possible to park the car at the rental agency after hours? Or would it be considered violating parking rules?
My hotel offers parking for a fee on a first served basis, and being back late would probably mean no space for me.

Find regular coin parking by Car-Navi or cell phone/Google map.
