When?
Which airport/ferry port or in/out?
Which town booked for stay?
How many days total?
How many travelers? (if w/children how old?)

Flying in to Kansai Airport on 31 Jan 2017.
Two nights in Shinsaibashi and off to Kyoto with a stop at Yamazaki Distillery.
Two nights in Kyoto near Kawaramachi Station. From here, a half day to Arashiyama and the next day to Biwako.
Off to Osaka again, near Namba Station, with return flight on 5 Feb 2017.
Altogether 6 days 5 nights. Travelling in a group of 7 adults with no limitations in movements.

Check your train travels via Hyperdia or Jorudan. When in Kyoto, you may also check Arukumachi Kyoto website.

You are moving too much, Osaka to Kyoto then Osaka again on your last night. The thing is that Osaka to Kyoto is only 30 minutes away, at least via rapid or special rapid service by JR. You can stay the last night in Kyoto then take the Haruka from Kyoto Station all the way to KIX.

I believe IC card then loading it with more yen will suffice for your travel.
