Is there an Eat street in Shinjuku? 2017/2/11 19:33
Is there a street or streets in Shinjuku, Tokyo that have lots of restaurants and some bars. I would like to stay somewhere very close to restaurants so that I don't have to walk too far as I'll be by myself (and I'm a bit worried about getting lost at night).
I'm currently looking at the Ibis Shinjuku but can't tell if it's close to lots of restaurants or just the odd one.

Omoide yokocho/思い出横丁(means Memories street) is very famous for foreigners as night travel spot in recent years.

You don't even have to leave the station building, if you don't want to go too far, for eateries. Shinjuku station building is like a city within city. There are also department stores connected to the station building and most of them have "depa chika" (department-store basement) where food department is. You will get lost there.

There are literally thousands of restaurants within ten minutes of Shinjuku station - probably one of the highest concentrations of restaurants in the world. Here are some recommendations for the west side of the station: http://bento.com/ra-nshin.html

(Coincidentally I just got back from eating dinner in Shinjuku tonight.)

Ibis Shinjuku locates a 5 mins walking distance to Shinjuku Kabuki-cho on the east.
There are some ramen, curry restaurants, cafe, Izakaya, combini around the hotel.
The hotel faces on the large street, the north side of hotel is a typical residential area, so I would not recommend you to visit those residential area at night, you would probably get lost.

If you want, there are many yatai tents along the Yasukunidori, main wide street near Kabukicho like yatais in Fukuooka, Kyushu.
Omoide Yokocho lost the appeal to me anymore after cleaning up the area.
