Shabu restaurants with other food options

Hi, My husband doesn't eat beef but I just love wagyu shabu shabu. I don't want to deny myself but I don't want him to sit there and just eat vegetables either. Are there any restaurants in Tokyo or Kyoto that will offer me shabu shabu while giving him other options to eat? He does not eat fish but eats chicken, pork, tempura and of course veggies. Any recommendations will be appreciated. Thanks.

The majority of Shabu Shabu restaurants have beef and pork on their menu. No fish and chicken shabu shabu.

Kissho gives you a choice of shabu-shabu or kaiseki-style menus, but their kaiseki menus might be too fish-heavy: http://www.kissho.co.jp/english/Try to look for a shabu-shabu restaurant that has pork options. Or a hotel restaurant that serves shabu-shabu along with Japanese cuisine. He does not eat fish but eats chicken, pork, tempuraPlease note that In Japan, tempura is basically a seafood cuisine.

Thank you for the advice. Although he does eat pork, pork shabu is not an option for him. He's had it before but just doesn't like eating pork that way. I'll keep looking. I'm bound to find something on the menu other than vegetable for him. Question - Are there restaurants where we can have yakiniku and shabu at the same time?

Don't say Shabu, it means amphetamine in Japanese slang... It's Shabu Shabu, not just Shabu.

Thanks for the heads up on the word Shabu. I didn't know that. I'll make sure not to use it.

I know about Rokkasen but have never gone there. I guess I'll call them and see if I can have yakiniku and shabu shabu at the same time on the table. Monade - Thank you for the translations. I've printed it out and am going to take it with me in order to avoid the foods I don't like or eat.
