Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kumamoto 2017/3/2 16:20
I'm going to be traveling from Tokyo to Kumamoto. I checked the schedules on Google and it seems only the Nozomi Shinkansen goes that way. I have a rail pass and was wondering if I have to pay extra or because it's the only shinkansen will JR forgive the added expense.

Nozomi does not go to Kumamoto.

Hikari to Shin-Osaka, transfer to a Sakura for Kumamoto.

If that rail pass meant "Japan Rail Pass"
not covered "Nozomi" btw Tokyo and Hakata
and "Mizuho" btw Shin-Osaka and Kumamoto/Kagoshima-chuo.

Read again Pass official web.

So take "Hikari" until Shin-Osaka or Okayama first
then take "Sakura" until Kumamoto.

Google map is no function for Japan Rail Pass's validity trains.
Use HyperDia like this on late next week.
