Osaka to Kawaguchiko & Nagoya 2017/3/5 14:30
Hi all,

I am planning on travelling to Osaka on April 16th 2017 for a week. My friend and I want to have a look at the cherry blossoms but after some research, it seems we may just miss it in Osaka by a week or so. So we're planning to head to Mt. Fuji to have a look (as it seems that its full bloom by that time in Mt Fuji?).

So we're thinking of heading to Kawaguchiko - either to catch the cherry blossoms or the Fujishibazakura Festival. Then head to Fuji Q Park the next day or so.

Another festival we want to have a look at is the "Nabana no Sato" festival in Nagoya.

So I guess our main destinations would be from Osaka to Nagoya to Mt Fuji, in no particular order decided yet.
What would the best way to get to these destinations?

I'm having a look at the JR pass but I'm not sure if I can find one that covers both destinations in the one. Would it just be the JR-East pass for 7 days? Is that the most convenient option?

It's pretty random and everywhere but I guess we have both been to Osaka & Tokyo a few times before and want to check out new places this time around.

None of you destinations are in JR East terrority. So a JR East pass will be useless.

Osaka to Nagoya can be done multiple ways.

To get to Kawaguchiko from Nagoya/Osaka is the same. TRain to Shin-Fuji, then buses to Kawaguchiko.
