Transportation around Osaka and Kyoto

Hi all
We are group of 5 people. we will land at Kansai at 20:00. We need to go to Osaka for 2 nights, to Himeji for 1 night and Kyoto 3 nights. Is the Icoca the best card for us? If no, what is your recommendation?
