JR Chuo "Fuji Shibazakurago Go" 2017/3/23 13:34
On the website:

Under the train access sections, it indicates that there is a train from Shinjuku to Lake Kawaguchi with JR Chuo "Fuji Shibazakurago Go" that runs only May1, 4, 5, 8, 13,14, and 15. Is this covered by the JR Passport? If not how much is it? Also does it go direct to the festival site? How can I reserve this train?

Thank you in advance!

Yes the train is covered by the JR Pass, but not the bus to the shibazakura site. Tickets reservation is at JR stations.

No, the train is not (fully) covered by the JR Pass (not "Passport"), because it partly runs on non-JR tracks.

With your JR Pass, you might want to consider taking Shinkansen from Tokyo station to Shin-Fuji station and bus to the Shibazakura Festival site.

Narita express for Kawaguchi-ko can also be an option, unfortunately it runs during holidays and weekends only.

From either Shin-Fuji or Kawaguchi-ko stations you need to take connecting bus, which is not covered by JR Pass.

No such named "JR Passport" ticket :/

Thank you for all of your help!

I can't read Japanese, so how can I book/reserve a Chuo bus from shinjuku directly to the site of the festival?
