Tokyo to Nagano

I will be travel to Tokyo fm 5/4 to 14/4. My itinerary will be as follow:
Day 1 : Narita to Nagano
Day 2 : snow monkey and Zenko-ji Temple
Day 3 : gala yuzawa ( how to get there from Nagano jr station ? Is skiing still possible?)
Day 4 : Matsumoto castle
Day5 : Karuizawa ( overnight)
Day 6: Tokyo
Day7 : Disney sea
Day 8: Shinjuku area
Day 9: Nikko
Day 10 : home
For this itinerary,is it worthwhile to purchase the JR east pass ( Nagano, Niigata area).
Anything I should add on this trip? Thanks
