Tateyama Kurobe Option Ticket

Hi,
I am planning to go to the Alpine route on 15 apr, and im thinking of getting the Option ticket.

I have a few questions regarding this ticket:
1. Do i still need to get any extra entrance ticket on top of this option ticket?
2. Will I be assigned a time to enter the route? I understand that the normal ticket bought has a time assigned to it. So how does the option ticket work?
3. Are there limited option tickets sold each day?

you are not assigned times until you arrive at each section and book in.

these is not limit to the number sold per day.

A1. I expect no. The exception is this:
"A separate limited express charge of 210 yen is locally required when using a limited express train on the Toyama Chiho Railway (between Tateyama and Dentetsu-Toyama Stations)."

A2. It seems that you have to line up to exchange the JR ticket to real ones. Only the reservation ticket could bypass this procedure.
"Q. How do I use the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Ticket issued by JR?
A. Before entering the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, we will pass you the limited tickets for use within the Alpine Route. The place for handing over the tickets is either Dentetsu Toyama Station, Tateyama Station or Ogizawa Station. Please show the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Ticket to the station staff. In return, the staff will pass you the tickets for the Alpine Route."

A3. Yes. The JR ticket can be purchased until November.

They have already issued an emergency note. If you failed to get to the entrance stations quite early, you could not get the tickets for the day. The number of passengers for a day is limited.

If you really have to go through on Apr 15, you would need to reserve the starting ticket from Ogizawa. The Tateyama sides have already booked out.

Didnt seem like they had such ticket exchanges for past years.
