Travel within Japan for 7 days

Hi will be traveling to Japan from 21st to 19th. Plan is Osaka to Kyoto to Hakone to Tokyo. 2 days each. How do I move from one city to other. Is it cheaper to buy Japan Rail pass or buy on the fly at the station. Which is cheaper as all of them are not that far from each other. Thanks

Do you mean 21st to 29th, if you say 7 days, and you are flying from Kansai then Osaka - Kyoto - Hakone - Tokyo, then leave rom Haneda or Narita airport?
If you are not doing at least a round-trip between Osaka/Kyoto and Tokyo, the 7 Day Japan Rail Pass does not pay off.
