Running a UK PLC from Japan 2017/4/27 20:25
Hi there,

I have registered my own plc in the UK (though it is currently dormant) and will be moving to Japan next year. My company is web based, so my locale doesn't matter so much.

When I go to Japan, can I run my UK business from there? Or will I need to register as a company in Japan? How will taxes work?

May I ask under what visa you plan to stay in Japan when you say you are moving to Japan?

Agree with AK, how are you staying in Japan and what will you be doing there? If you will be operating your business than yes you must register. If you're going on a visitor visa or other type of short term visa then your supposed to register, but as an online business as long as you have no Japanese bank accounts they won't be able to find out.
