in japan and need help for mt fuji travel

Hi,
Currently in Hokkaido trvelling and will be flying back to Tokyo. I book a car from Gotemba station on the 23th May planning to do Fuji Safari - thomasland - Gotemba and returning to Shinjuku on the same day.
However, now I am hoping to slot in Shibazakura. Therefore, I am thinking of travelling another extra day out to Shinjuku on the 22th May to Kawaguchiko station then pick up car and go to strawberry picking - thomasland - Shibazakura and returning the car back at the same station.
Please advise if such plan is workable? Cannot cancel my shinjuku hotel therefore staying at mt fuji is not an option now. Travelling with a 4 years old boy

Just input "A to B".
