Ishigakijima - What to see and do 2017/6/28 02:52
Hi guys I will be heading over to Okinawa next month spending a few days between Ishigakijima, Miyokojima and Naha, I have a few questions and was wondering if someone could shed some light.

I will be on the island of Ishigakijima and I have read some of the hotspots to visit are Kabira Bay Lookout Point, Kabira Bay Inner Beach, Cape Hirakubozaki Lighthouse and Sekisei Lagoon. Do you suggest any other places to head over to, I love photography and places to take stunning photos, I love the beaches and secluded places I am seeing online for these parts of Okinawa and would appreciate any input.

Secondly would anyone know how is it best to get to Kabira Bay Inner Beach and Sekisei Lagoon - I have found some stunning views on this site (http://ippei-janine.com/travel-japan-islands/destinations/ishigaki-yae... & http://ippei-janine.com/travel-japan-islands/destinations/ishigaki-yae... & http://ippei-janine.com/travel-japan-islands/things-to-do/ishigaki-gui... - I am not sure if there is local boat tours bookable or if there is some sort of trip I can book.

In Miyokojima we will be heading to Sunayama Beach, Yoshino Beach, Yonaha Maehama Beach, Boragawa Beach and Boraga Limestone Cave, Nameless Beach and a few other photo spots, would you suggest stopping off anywhere else.

In Naha we have not really planned anything, we were thinking of getting the ferry to Tokashiki or Kume Island - not sure which is better however, Aharen Beach looks stunning. We have a car in Naha so would it makes sense to take our car in the ferry to Aharen Beach or book the speedy ferry and seek local transport on the island. Which island do you guys think is better and I would really love to go somewhere where we can get views like this https://www.flickr.com/photos/ippei-janine/20260976881/in/album-721576... or https://www.flickr.com/photos/ippei-janine/28069522956/in/album-721576... or https://www.flickr.com/photos/ippei-janine/27431375422/in/album-721576... or https://www.flickr.com/photos/ippei-janine/sets/72157653500807383

I know there is a few places on Ishigakijima but struggling on finding information of how to get to there places, we have car rentals on all the islands.

I would again appreciate any information you guys can give and I would like to thank everyone in advance.

Kind Regards,

John

Can't find the link, but there's a good website in English about Ishigaki- written by someone who appears to live there, and it has good guidance on how to get to various beaches.
There's no shortage of boat tours at Kabira.
Also, don't miss out on Ishigaki beef ....mmm
