Autumn Foliage in Daisetsuzan National Park? 2017/7/7 09:58
Hi,

First, let me thank you for your encouragement to self-drive in winter Hokkaido. You said there is always the first time. We took your advice and have a wonder time to enjoy Hokkaido winter that we are coming back for more - this time autumn. My question is:

Is 7-8 Oct a good time to view the beautiful Autumn Foliage in Daisetsuzan National Park? Which trail head is preferably good, Asahidake Onsen, Kogen Onsen or Tokachi Onsen.

Thank you

It may be too late, but it is not fixed as it depends on the weather.
It is said that the peak is in SEP and when if it snows it will end quickly.

This is 2015's forecast of peak.

2015 first snow was 29 SEP.
