Odawara station, JR Tokai ticket office opens 5:45-22:30, Mon-Sun.

Odawara station closes as the last train departs, until the first train arrives(around 24:00-5:30).

Then it makes very little sense to exchange your pass at Odawara; the first connection from Haneda in the morning makes you arrive there at 7:01.

Can you change the flight ticket to KIX(Kansai Airport)?

JR pass exchange office in Haneda open at 7:45am ? and when i check hyperdia there is 8am train to osaka. i don't think we can make it.

now if JR pass exchange office in Odawara open as early as 5:45am then maybe we can catch the 8am train?

JR pass exchange office in Haneda open at 7:45am ?
The answer is "Y!", but you should read all pages of the Pass web again.
http://www.japanrailpass.net/en/index.html (site map : page bottom)

we can catch the 8am train?

But, cheapest way is this.
http://www.hyperdia.com/en/cgi/en/search.html?dep_node=HANEDA%20AIRPOR...
Keikyu Kamata/京急蒲田 is same station,
ask at Keikyu ticket gate staff of HND about transfering(arr/dep track numbers).
http://www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/en/transport/international.html
Keikyu-Kawasaki stn/京急川崎駅 to Kawasaki stn/川崎駅(JR) is not placed same location, need a short walk.

Buy a "PASMO" card at Keikyu ticket vending machine of HND,
this is easiest for using both(Keikyu and JR-East) as one card and just touching each ticket gates.
http://www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/en/sitemap.html
PASMO also works in Osaka,Kyoto and more
as instead of "ICOCA(JR-West)" and "PiTaPa(non JR groups railways and buses)",
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICOCA
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PiTaPa (mostly same "Kansai Thru Pass" validity area)
but no discounted ticket, read the PASMO official web user's guide and FAQ.
http://www.pasmo.co.jp/en/
(You can not return the deposit and reissue if lost/broken at out of PASMO=Tokyo and around area.)

Re: Japan Rail Pass Exchange Office in Odawara 2017/8/18 06:27
There are two JR Ticket Offices in Odawara Station.

Japan Rail Passes are not handled at the JR Ticket Office (managed by JR-East) in the non-Shinkansen zone.

To acquire your Japan Rail Passes, you should visit the JR Ticket Office (managed by JR-Central [JR-Tokai]) in the Shinkansen zone.

But, cheapest way is this.

No; you don't need to pay over 1500 yen per adult, neither to go on foot between Keikyu Kawasaki and (JR) Kawasaki Stations.
There is a route at 1420 yen with a simpler and shorter Keikyu-JR transfer (just through a transfer gate) in Yokohama Station.

Re: HND to Osaka with JRP in the early morning 2017/8/18 06:35
Compared to your option to use JRP from Haneda Airport,
you are now going to wake up earlier by two hours in the morning and pay about 1500 yen more,
in order to visit the Exchange Office in Odawara.

It sounds better for you to get your JRP in Shin-Yokohama Station.
The Exchange Office in Shin-Yokohama Station is the JR Ticket Office managed by JR-Central, which is open from 8:00.
http://www.japanrailpass.net/en/exchange.html

450 yen | 448 yen (#) as a Keikyu fare.
Haneda Airport International Terminal Station
(around 6:30)
| Keikyu
Keikyu-Kamata Station
| Keikyu
(around 7:00)
Yokohama
: Please follow signs for JR lines; there is a Keikyu-JR transfer gate.

170 yen | 165 yen (#) as a JR fare.
Yokohama Station
(around 7:20)
| JR
Higashi-Kanagawa Station
| JR
(around 7:40)
Shin-Yokohama Station.

#: The latter price applies when an IC card is used to travel.

Shin-Yokohama Station
( 8:22)
| JR Tokaido Shinkansen: Hikari 463
(11:00)
Shin-Osaka Station.

- Map of (JR) Shin-Yokohama Station
http://english.jr-central.co.jp/info/station/_img/shin_yokohama_L.jpg
: JR Yokohama Line is operated by JR-East.
: Your train arrives at Track 6.
: You first go up to the bridge then go down to the concourse,
pass through Yokohama Line North Ticket Gate,
turn to the right at the corner
and get to the JR Ticket Office managed by JR-Central,
which is near Shinkansen East Ticket Gate.

When you choose the Odawara option,
it seems you cannot catch a Shinkansen train (for Shin-Osaka) before 7:10,
so you wait for the 8:08 Hikari 503.

| JR Tokaido Shinkansen: Hikari 503
(10:26)
Shin-Osaka Station.

By the way, how is your itinerary?
I wonder whether JRP should save your cost greatly or not.
