fuji hakone 2017/8/17 11:06
We plan to stay for one night in either fuji or hakone area from tokyo. can anyone help me plan a better route, should we start from hakone then kawaguchiko or the other way around? after an one a half day of exploring the area we plan to head straight to osaka, we are not going back to tokyo anymore. Is fuji hakone pass recommended? can we able to tour the fuji and hakone in one and half days?

See the Pass web and maps.

Direct Night bus easiest fr Kawaguchiko to Kyoto/Osaka.
If would like to take a Shinkansen, stay Hakone and back to Odawara.

Kawaguchi and Hakone in 1 1/2 days is pretty hard....I would pick one of the two. Hakone has more to see and experience. Kawaguchiko`s highlight is being close to Fuji, but then you will have to depend on the weather. Hakone still has views of Fuji plus the history, culture, museums, and food. It would be easier to just take the Shinkansen to Odawara...see Hakone for a day...Odawara for half and day...and then back on the Shinkansen for the rest of your travels... http://www.odawara-guide.com
