Kayak near western Tokyo

I have an inflatable kayak and a car.
So far I have only used it on Tama river.
Are there any other good places I can use a Kayak near western Tokyo?
I would prefer a lake with calm waters.
I usually go with my 8 year old son.
We have all of the safety equipment (PFDs).

There are several major rivers and lakes in western Tokyo besides just Tama River. There's Asakawa in Hachioji and Hino, Hirai in Akiruno and Hinode, Sakai (which separates Machida and Sagamihara), Tama Lake (just south of Tokorozawa), just to name a few.
