Gundam Factory - why is that temporary?

Couldn't find this info online, but why is the Gundam Factory a temporary attraction and what are they doing w/ the statue after March 2023?

Also what happened to the OLD RX-78 Gundam statue that was replaced by Unicorn? Why did they do it instead of building a second one?

Just visited both places and curiosity struck me.

The dismantled standing statues were not diverted to G/F materials,
but were used as research materials for the new design.

The place where Gundam Factory Yokohama currently stands was supposed to turn into a casino resort, which is the main reason it is temporary.

Due to a massive anti-casino movement, the plan was called off. But I have the impression that Gundam buildings are always temporary attraction anyway. As for the land itself, its history is too long to explain.
