kinosaki onsen to kyoto

Hi, I will be spending a few nights in Kinosaki Onsen before heading to Kyoto by train. I was thinking about spending one night somewhere before reaching Kyoto. Is there anything special between the 2 places that might be worth a stay that is still on the train line? Thanks for any suggestions.

Either Himeiji or Miyama. My choice would probably be Miyama as it is very remote while to Himeiji you can make it more easily.
