School trips

Do schools make trips for kids? And if they do, do kids attend classes on that day?

Yes like any other school trip across the globe.

Whether they attend class depends on the duration of the school trip. Some trips may on be for a few hours.

Are you asking do Japanese schools take field trips in Japan, the answer is of course, we passed so many junior and senior high school trips when we were in Japan in June.

Are you asking do foreign schools ever have school trips to Japan and do those school trips go to class within Japan? I would think it depends on length of time and individual school. Pre-Covid, our public US middle school use to have a 1 week trip to Japan for the students taking Japanese. I am curious if it will come back this year.

I know last year the class did a project with a Jr. High in Japan.

Ages ago when I was in High School, my Public US High School has a 2-3 week trip to France for students taking French. I went and I did sometimes attend some classes in a French Lycee.
