Anyone know if there is a super market chain in Tokyo that also have duty free (besides Donki?) Thanks!

I think Ito Yokado and Aeon Style offer tax-exempt purchasing at at least some of their stores. You might find more information here:

There are restrictions on the types of things you can get a tax exemption on, the concept being that if itfs something that is logically going to be consumed in Japan, such as perishable food items, you canft get out of paying the consumption tax.

I once bought a bunch of packaged okashi at an Ito Yokado and managed to get the consumption tax refunded, but the process was a time-consuming nuisance and then I was officially supposed to show the items when I departed Japan, meaning they had to be in my carry-on bag and not my checked suitcase (I understand that they donft actually enforce this rule, though). I basically decided never to do it again. But the amount of money wasnft great in my case. (Maybe enough to buy a cheap lunch for two, but not worth the time and hassle as far as I was concerned.)
