Nearest Sakura view from Fukuoka Airport

I have a few hours layover in Fukuoka airport. Where is the nearest place I can see sakura. How to get there from Airport.

There are a few very good places, and easily accessible from the airport by subway. Two good places are at Maizuru Castle and at Nishi Koen. For the former, you could get off at either Akasaka Stn or Ohori Koen Stn (slightly closer from Ohori Koen Stn), and for Nishi Koen, at Ohori Koen Stn and then walk north about 10 minutes. Ohori Park is also next to Maizurujo, and worth a nice stroll there.

If going at the prime bloom times, there will be large crowds of people all around. If you detest crowds, there are 2 other choices - one is Minami Koen near the zoo, but more trouble to get to and not really as good. And for a nice hidden gem few know about, you could go just outside the city to Kayoicho Park, which has some gorgeous cherry blossoms with far fewer people (take a JR train from Hakata Stn to Chojabaru).

Ohori Park is probably the best bet. Same train the whole way there. Easy to locate.
