Boarding schools in Japan?

I wonder if there are any international boarding schools in Japan, close to Tokyo.That would accept a 16 year old girl and that is not specified within a certain religion.

There are at least a couple of international schools in Japan which do have boarding facilities. One is the Christian Academy in the suburbs of Tokyo:

I'm not sure, but the boarding facilities there may be mainly for children of missionary families.

The other is Hokkaido International School:

But neither of these meet your criteria of being both near Tokyo and non-religious.

There is one that is ten minutes away from Tokyo but I don't remember the exact location. Go to www.google.com and then search "Boarding Schools in Japan." I don't remember the website, but I think it's on the first page. I hope this hepls!

Don't know about any near Tokyo but there is an Adventist Academy in Hiroshima and (If you are adventurous) and new Adventist International Boarding School in Hong Kong!

Adventist academys are open to both Christian and non-Christian students.

IN fact there are boarding schools in japan you just have to look REALLY hard.

I believe the high school has some space for boarding students (260 out of their 6800 students board). I don't know how proficient you are in Japanese but that's the school I'm going to for my summer exchange program. =^_^=
