Tokyo to Takayama 2009/7/13 Takayama Hello, Does anyone know how far in advance you need to reserve a bus ticket from Tokyo (Shinjuku) to Takayama? Is one day before okay for example? (We'd be travellingin early Nov). Thank you! by Ralf (guest)   ... 2009/7/15 Usually, I think it is no problem to book one day in advance or even on the day of travel. In direction of Takayama, Fridays are most busy, especially the overnight bus. Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings seem to be quite busy too.
