Dear visitor, if you know the answer to this question, please post it. Thank you! Which rail pass? for Hakone 2009/9/3 Hakone I arrive in Tokyo on 22/9/2009. Leave on 24/9 will activate JPR pass (7 days) then to travel to Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima etc. Then travel from Kyoto to ryokan in Hakone area on 29/9 for 3 nights .back to Narita airport on 2nd October. I can use JPR pass to Tokyo on 29/9, do I buy rail pass for Hakone then, where do I buy it? or can I buy it from the UK? Am a bit confused with train systems! thanks for help Maggie by maggie 57 (guest)   Get it there 2009/9/3 Maggie you buy your Hakone area pass at Mishima or Odawara station. Just depends on where you want to start your travels from. They are both shinkansen stations that you can get off at on the way back from Kyoto. You may need a change of train as not all Hikaris stop at these stations. by RodW rate this post as useful
