1)Accommodations in Lake Chuzenji is more expensive than those near JR/Tobu Nikko stations. Am thinking of taking bus to Lake Chuzenji from there. Can you tell me if the 1hr ride comfortable, especially my mother is 70 yrs old? Is there any ''toilet breaks'' in between the journey?
2)Am I too early for some autumn leaves?

The bus goes along a very curvy road. Some people might not consider it comfortable. There are no toilet breaks.

Probably yes. Maybe you can see some in the highest elevations around the Yumoto area, but I would not count on it.
