Is it possible to cycle to Kurama/Kibune from Kyoto Station?
Thanks.

Everything is possible. Note, however, that it is about 25 kilometers one way. Depending on the person and bicycle, the round trip will translate into a 2-7 hour bicyle ride. For some people it is too far. The average tourist will probably require about two hours one way to get from Kyoto Station to Kurama by bicycle, not including breaks along the way.

With the cars?

Thanks Uji. The distance is probably OK but I was wondering if there is a cycle path or pavement all the way or would I need to be on the road with the cars? I've cycled up to the conference place, past the fork in the river.

There is a cycling path all along Kamo River. From there, I am not sure. You have several possible routes.
