6 days in Japan- JR pass worthy?

I land in Tokyo on 3/30 at 9 pm, I plan to head into Hiroshima the next day... how do I get there? Then afterwards, Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Dankazura and then back to Tokyo on 4/7. Is it worth getting the JR pass? How do locals travel? Is it any cheaper? Is it worth just getting the Suica card instead?

The round trip between NRT and Hiroshima costs more than 40,000yen by JR. 7day JR Pass has a good value for you.
