Hello,
I'm planing to visit Japan in 2010 April with my girlfriend.
We are thinking spending 1-2 days in Kirishima or Ebino Kogen hiking. Are there some good hiking trails for 2 days ?
How about accommodation, can we easy find there some ryokan or so ? Do we have to book in advance ? If so, where ?

There is one major hiking trail that traverses the entire mountain chain, but it can be done in a single day (I think there are no huts along the way). Apart from that there are several minor walking trails. Do we have to book in advance?Yes, it is highly recommended. It is not common to drop in a ryokan without reservations.
