Bus Matsuyama-Kochi and Kaifu 2010/5/3 19:42
Hi there,
i'm going to shikoku in July. So far everything is set. I'm just trying to find out about busses between Matsuyama-Kochi and Kaifu. I found out that there is a bus from Matsuyama to Kaifu which should be easy to find. however, as i don't speak or read japanese I've got problems with the timetable for the bus from Kaifu to Shishikui. I've got this website but can't figure out departure times, stops and so on. could anybody help me out?

They are just next to each other. And there are hourly trains between the two town centers:

There are no direct buses. There are various routes, which all require transfers along the way.

The following file lists the best connections by bus between Kochi Harimayabashi (はりまや橋), Aki (安芸営業所) and Kannoura Station (甲浦駅) from where you can catch a train to Kaifu:

For weekdays (I think this includes Saturdays):

For Sundays and national holidays:

Alternatively, you could take the train from Kochi to either Aki Station (安芸駅) or Nahari Station (奈半利駅) and catch the bus from there. About the train:

Hi uji, thanks a lot. I think I will take the bus ..

another question: I will be staying in Naruto for 2 days, so which sight could you reccommend and is it eays to reach the temples in the area by public transport? I know that Ryozenji Temple is there and that you can go there by train but how about the others near Naruto/Tokushima? I'm also graeful about tips regarding restaurants etc ;-)
