with me only having 3 days in tokyo and intending to only travel within tokyo what rail pass etc would be the best? ive heard off a 3 day pass for both Toei and Tokyo Metro lines is that correct? or is it cheaper to travel using single tickets

Where did you heard that? I have not heard of it.

I am only aware of 1-day passes for Toei/Tokyo Metro combined. And they only pay off if you use the subways a lot. Also, they do not cover JR. The average tourist, who takes a mixture of JR trains and subways about 3-5 times per day, is likely to travel cheaper with single tickets. For convenience, I recommend a Suica prepaid card. If you come from Narita Airport, you might want to consider the NEX&Suica package:

If you know that you will be using the Tokyo Metro lines a lot, a 2-day pass for Tokyo Metro is available at Narita Airport at a good price. More details are also here:

i wouldnt say we'd be using the subway alot but we would be using if to make our way to fair bit of tokyo in our short time. our tranfers to kyoto and from narita are sorted thank you so it would just be traveling around tokyo in our 3 days there

hey, just wondering any guide on the first and last subway trains of the day - thinking about our planned visist to Tsukiji Fish Market and getting back to the hotel in the evening -

just so you know....There are "train" lines and "subway or Metro" lines. they are not the same.

yea Daz88 im aware lol, i was just asking about subway trains hence "first and last SUBWAY TRAINS of the day",
