How to reach Kyoto from Kansai Airport

Dear All,

Please let me know how to reach Kyoto (Yoshida Campus, Kyoto Univeristy) from Kansai Airport. By train or bus, also the approximately train or bus fare. Another question is how much is daily allowance living in Kyoto for meals (2x/day) and local transportation (hostel to Campus)? Many thanks!

Kansai Airport - (JR Airport Rapid) - JR Kyobashi - Keihan Kyobashi - (RLE or LE) - Demachiyanagi(The last stop, it's the closest station to Kyoto University Campus, just 800meters)

I am going to places I've never ventured before (Narita, Kamakura, Uji) and have to do the footwork myself of getting to and from these places.
