we would like to train from Nagano to Matsumoto then bus to Takayama on Dec 25. Could anyone advise if there is chance bus may not run due to weather at this time of year.

thank you that is good news. After Takayama we will be travelling to Kyoto, I have heard the scenery betwn Takayama and Nagoya is spectacular do you know if this is so, and best transport i.e. which line or bus.
