Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if it is recommended to reserve a (non green) seat on a JR train from Okayama station to Hiroshima station? I would either want to take the 3:14 or 4:14 on a Saturday in early November.
Also, I would be stopping en route with bags, does this station provide lockers?

I would suggest getting a reserved seat, as the times mentioned make this an Hikari RailStar service and a reserved seat on the RailStar is almost equal to green car seats (2+2 seating, not 3+2). Also, with the reduction in service of the RailStar to about one per hour, it has become very crowded on board.
Note also that if you are breaking your journey you will need two reservations.
