Japan Rail Pass Advice

My thanks in advance for any advice you may have. I know I should be able to figure this out on my own but i find it very confusing.

Are there any rail passes that would work for part of this trip? thank you so much!!


11/8 (m) arrive Kansai Osaka, train to kyoto
11/10 kyoto to Nara by train
11/14 (su) kyoto to Onomichi by train
11/15 – (m) Imabari to Matsuyama by train
11/17 (w) Maysuyama to Takamatsu by train, ferry to Naoshima
11/18 – (th) Ferry from Naoshima to Uno, train from Uno to Okayama
11/19-11/20 (th-sat) possible trips around Okayama including Kurashiki, Kibi Plain, Takahashi, Bizen
11/21 (su) Okayama to Nikko by train
11/22 (m) Nikko to Tokyo by train
11/26 – (f) Tokyo to Narita by train

About the only savings you can make is on your first day (see below) and from 17th thru 23rd with a 7 day Rail Pass. Your only problem is that you only have a couple of days to get your JR Rail Pass voucher before you leave for Japan (it cannot be bought in Japan). If you can get to JTB in Manhattan and see if you can get it issued while you wait:
