Hi, I am travelling from Ikebukuro to Kawaguchiko on the 18 November and then Kawaguchiko to Kyoto on the 19 November.
Does anyone have an English timetable for the bus?
What is the best way to get from Kawaguchiko to Kyoto?
How much are the tickets?
Thank you in advance for your help!

There is no bus to 5th station in winter, and 5th station is up on Mount Fuji, where most people start their climb in the summer. You want to go to Kawaguchiko Station, which is an easy bus ride on the Keio highway bus from Shinjuku Station West Entrance (the highway bus terminal is there), about 1 hour 40 min, I think 1800 yen or so.

Thanks for all your replies, greatly appreciated! Is there a quicker option from Kawaguchiko to Kyoto - the bus is a long 11 hours! This website: http://www.japan-guide.com/bus/fuji.html says that: Operates on weekends and public holidays from April 29 to November 3, 2010 Operates daily from April 29 to May 5 and from September 1 to 26, 2010 However there is no information about the 18 November? Are there only two buses that operate each day? I read somewhere that there are several buses that run everyday. The website says that the trip is Y2800 but I read that it's Y1700 or Y1800? Can you please clarify this? Thank you so much.

Is there a quicker option from Kawaguchiko to Kyoto - the bus is a long 11 hours!Yes! It is explained on the page earlier linked by geogeek1: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6905.html?aFROM=2158_6900Operates on weekends and public holidays from April 29 to November 3, 2010 Operates daily from April 29 to May 5 and from September 1 to 26, 2010
However there is no information about the 18 November? It does not operate on November 18. In fact, it does not operate anymore until next spring. This is the direct bus between Shinjuku and the 5th Station! I get the feeling you are looking for the buses between Shinjuku and Kawaguchiko Station. They operate hourly every day of the year. Here is the timetable: http://transportation.fujikyu.co.jp/english/gettinghere/01.html

Is there a quicker option from Kawaguchiko to Kyoto - the bus is a long 11 hours! It was mentioned by geogeek1 above. Use this link:- http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6905.htmland choose "To/From Kyoto" in the drop down box. Essentially, 2 hour bus Kawaguchiko to Mishima then 2 hour Shinkansen to Kyoto. English timetable for Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko by Fujikyu Bus:- http://transportation.fujikyu.co.jp/english/gettinghere/01.htmlWill you have a JR pass? If you have a JR pass it is slightly cheaper to catch a JR train from Shinjuku to Otsuki and then pay for the Fujikyu train from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko station (1100yen).

Thanks GC3, the second link was really useful.
I am having a bit of trouble understanding the table though. I am confused whether I should read the table horizontally - what do bus number and destination refer to?
Can I just clarify, for example if I catch the 8.10am bus from Shinjuku, I will arrive Kawaguchiko at 9.55am?
Thanks very much for your help!
