Christmas at Hida Folk Village

Friend and i are planning to visit Hida Folk Village at Takayama during the Chirstmas period. We emailed the Village but failed to get an answer from them so we're trying our luck here.....
First question: The usual opening hours are 8:30`17:00, but the Christmas light-up event's opening hours are 17:30 to 21:00 according to their website. Does that mean that if we reach the Village at about 15:00, the Village will still close at 17:00 and we can only re-enter at 17:30, at an additional entrance fee of 300yen? Or will the village be open all the way from 8:30 to 21:00 without closing, so we can just stay on from 15:00 til night-time?
Second question: Is it right to say that during the Christmas light-up event from 17:30 from 21:00, attractions will be closed and we will only be able to walk around outdoors?

It looks like that you will have to exit once and re-enter. And pay once more. There is no information about whether the houses will be open. I doubt it.
