Someone in Japan will get tickets for us for the Aoi Matsuri next May 15. 2 questions: Where exactly are the seats? 1 - Are the seats near Imadegawa subway station at the Kyoto Gosho end or near Marutamachi subway station at the Kyoto Garden end of the complex? 2 - Are the seats assigned, or first come, first served?

Where exactly are the seats? There is paid reserved seating in the Imperial Palace Park and in Shimogamo Shrine. See details here: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3948.htmlAre the seats near Imadegawa subway station at the Kyoto Gosho end or near Marutamachi subway station at the Kyoto Garden end of the complex? The seats in the Imperial Palace Park are close to the Marutamachi Station. Are the seats assigned, or first come, first served?I can't find the exact answer, but I am pretty sure they are all assigned down to the individual seat. But possibly only down to the box of a group of seats.
