I am interested in bonsais and am interested in knowing if there is a good place to go and check out a range of good bonsais while in Japan. Ill be visiting Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto so if anyone knows of places around any of the places im staying and could list them that would be great.

Lose their leaves

Some are deciduous and lose their leaves in winter. However most would not consider that makes it a worse time to see them as you can see their structure more clearly. This is only some of the trees, not all of them.
The big Tokyo show, Kokufu Ten is held in February each year when the deciduous trees are bare.
I think those in shows and the villages such as Omiya out of Tokyo will be maintained beautifully all year round.
