Ryokan in Kyoto/Osaka? 2011/2/28 22:06
Hi!

I will be travelling to Japan for the first time this summer and would like to stay at a traditional ryokan without emptying my pockets completely.

I was hoping to find a decent ryokan for around 10.000 JPY if meals are included I can stretch to 15.000 JPY. And if it's really really good I suppose I could stretch a bit further as well.

Can anyone recommend any ryokans? I have been searching and have gone through numerous, but it's hard to judge and many are lacking reviews. We did look at Izuyasu Ryokan and thought it might fit well, but we're still unsure.

It would be nice if it was close to a JR train station as we will have the rail pass.

I just can say that our customers rated this ryokan with 4.6 of 5 stars. Customers were especially satisfied by the very friendly staff and the delicious food.
