Visiting Itajiki gorge

Hi all,

On July 26 I will be visiting Shosenkyo gorge in Kofu, Yamanashi. I also would like to visit Itajiki gorge in Kofu. Can somebody please tell me how to get to Itajiki gorge with public transportation.

I would also like to know how to make an inquiry for the bus from Yamanashi-shi to Shosenkyo gorge. Do i have to make an inquiry through the internet, by fax or at the busstation in Yamanashi-shi

Yamanashi town transport website does not seem to have listed bus service for Shosenkyo Gorge, but there is a phone and fax number for enquiry.

There is bus connection between Kofu and Shosenkyo Gorge.

To go to Itajiki Gorge, take the same bus to the last stop 昇仙峽滝上 and walk for about 50 min.

The Shosenkyo Gorge map below also shows the Itajiki Gorge which is roughly on the upper right-hand corner.
