Early morning in Osaka 2012/6/5 09:31
I will arrive Osaka station at 530am via Willer Express. I'm wondering what can I do before all the sightseeing places are open.

Comic cafe will be my last choice.

Go to Osaka-jyo nice and early, walk around the park and watch the sunrise. People will also be doing early morning shouting exercises around there which is interesting. But it will also just be nice to have the castle perfectly quiet and all to yourself.

Yes, Osaka Castle Park is open 24/7 so you can enter the castle tower and Ninomaru garden at 9AM or so after seeing the outline of the castle.

Japanese fast food chains offer morning menus from 5AM, which are quite economical.

Re: Early morning in Osaka - bath 2012/6/5 10:23
I used to go to a Bath place in early morning to refresh and to kill time where nowhere else is open for tour.
Many bath places are 24 hrs (almost) operation. Let me know if you want to find out more.

Thank you guys for the fast response!

I understand that the Osakajo will only open at 9am. I don't think I'm that patient enough to stay at the garden for that long before it opens. Thank you guys for the information, I will visit the park earlier before Osakajo opens.

Lester, is there one near the Osaka/Namba Station area?

there are cafes open around JR Osaka that time that you can go to and eat breakfast and have a nap.

Done it before. So tired but nowhere else to go.

Just look around, be adventurous, it won't hurt to walk abit and explore while you're free.

if you got luggage, leave em in a coin locker which are everywhere in the station.

Nakanoshima park is in a walking distance from JR Osaka station.

Buy Osaka unlimited pass as early as possible.

I do not know where you can buy it earliest, though. Maybe the stationmaster's office in Subway Umeda station or ANA crowneplaza hotel are the place.

Once you get the pass, you can take subway line for free. My recommendation is Chuo line to Cosmo-Square and transfer to the New-tram to Suminoe-Koen since they run almost on the elevated level so that you can see the scenery of the bay area of Osaka. Of course, they run very early in the morning.

For the Bath place, the pass let you enter free at Natural hot spring Naniwa no Yu.

Enjoy your stay in Osaka!

Daneil,

This bath place is near Namba Station. It opens 6am. I been there before. Interesting if you want to experience what local people does. Bring your own stuff. The offer nothing basically.
To refresh yourself in the morning is highly suggested in my opinion.

If you want a 24 hrs hotspring place is one JR stop from Osaka. I been there many times. It is a large joint with many kinds of hotspring pool. This is another experience you must try and see. Let me know if you want the eaddress.
